TWR Framing e Newsletter, July 2004, Volume 1, issue 2

This issue of the TWR e-Newsletter is dedicated to the people that make this company a success everyday. From the big picture to the finest details, our employees have the knowldege and experience to get the job done...project after project. We invite you to meet our office support team, field support team and our newest field managers. All of these dedicated employees are commited to keeping our projects running smoothly, safely and on time.

This week TWR won two very special awards that are given out annually. At Lennar TWR won the “Superstar” award and at Barratt TWR won the “Subcontractor of the year” award. As you know it is not always easy for a framing contractor to win these awards because we carry the most responsibility on every project. All participated in making this happen and special thanks to the field management for setting TWR apart from the rest again and again.
Keeping Framers Safe - TWR continues its commitment to fall protection education.
TWR has always made safety a top priority; both to protect our workers in the field and to provide peace of mind for our valued clients. Keeping up the pace, phase after phase of providing top framing solutions is one task…keeping our workers and the jobsite safe is another. As TWR expands its scope and it’s workforce, it is important that all existing and new foremen are trained and re-trained in our fall protection system.

On June 30, 2005, our company required all of our project foremen to be present for a Fall Protection Safety Information Meeting. For this meeting the suppliers of our OSHA approved fall protection equipment, SafeWaze, were present to demonstrate the proper donning & doffing of our harness systems.

Seeing is Understanding
TWR Office Field Support Team gets close to the action.

In an effort to provide better support for our foremen in the field, TWR sent the Office Field Support Team out onto a jobsite for a first hand look at a project in progress. The OFS team is behind the scenes and responsible for making sure the foremen have all the tools, materials, machines and paperwork necessary to run a project. This “Field Trip” gave the team a first hand opportunity to familiarize themselves with all aspects of the jobsite. Furthermore, it allowed each team member the ability to associate what they see on paper into a physical piece of hardware or procedure. Familiarizing each team member in this way allows for better understanding of the entire process and how their individual work can affect an entire project…
