Seeing is Understanding
TWR has always made safety a top priority; both to protect our workers in the field and to provide peace of mind for our valued clients. Keeping up the pace, phase after phase of providing top framing solutions is one task…keeping our workers and the jobsite safe is another. As TWR expands its scope and it’s workforce, it is important that all existing and new foremen are trained and
re-trained in our fall protection system.

On June 30, 2005, our company required all of our project foremen to be present for a Fall Protection Safety Information Meeting. For this meeting the suppliers of our OSHA approved fall protection equipment, SafeWaze, were present to demonstrate the proper donning & doffing of our harness systems. Foremen were trained to inspect for holes, frays, cuts &/or burns in the harnesses prior to putting the equipment onto a person. Foremen were taught how to choose and inspect a properly fitted harness and to ensure that their field workers were an appropriate size based on body weight & that they are informed on how to adjust the equipment for a safe fit. In addition, foremen were informed of how to properly attach lanyards to the harnesses and how to establish a secure anchor to our Fall Protection systems.
The foremen were also taught that it is not enough to just have the system in place; it is just as important to have a rescue plan in place in the unfortunate event that a worker does fall. .Most importantly, foremen were given the direction that if you are not sure how to use any of the equipment provided, ASK – if you don’t you are risking your life and the lives of the employees you are responsible for on your job. TWR requires Fall Protection on our jobsites for several reasons, but number one, we care about our employees and their safety.
